The main path · I Ching

Understand the pattern and the direction of change.

The I Ching is our foundation: learn how a hexagram describes a situation, how line positions focus an idea, and how a changing pattern gives another perspective. These are suggested topics, not prerequisites or an exam.

  1. Meet the Book of Changes

    认识《易经》

Begin with changing situations, yin and yang lines, and the role of the classical text.

A complementary branch · Five Phases & Mei Hua

Look at how the parts of a situation affect one another.

Once you are comfortable with lines and trigrams, add Mei Hua Yi Shu. Its body–use and Five Phase relationships help frame support, expenditure and constraint within the present situation. It complements the main I Ching path; you can study it without abandoning that foundation.

  1. Five Phases: support and constraint

    五行:支持与制约

Meet Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water through generating and controlling relationships.

  2. Mei Hua: observe the whole situation

    梅花易数:观察当下关系

Add a complementary view of images, numbers and relationships, grounded in the circumstances you know.

  3. Body and use: which way does the relationship work?

    体用生克:关系如何作用
