MEI HUA YI SHU EXPLAINED · PLUM BLOSSOM DIVINATION
Explore free I Ching fortune telling through Mei Hua Yi Shu, also known as Plum Blossom divination. Bring a question about what lies ahead, read the current relationship, then follow its development through the Book of Changes.
In a Mei Hua Yi Shu reading, body represents the questioner’s side and use represents the matter asked about. The trigram with the changing line is use; the other is body. Their Five Elements—also called the Five Phases—give an initial judgment of support, harmony, expenditure or constraint.
Favourable (auspicious): support received. The matter’s phase nourishes the body’s phase; the initial reading points to help or benefit coming toward the questioner.
Favourable with effort: the initiative lies with the questioner’s side. Active management and sustained effort are part of this judgment.
Peaceful, harmonious and favourable: the relationship starts on common ground, supporting cooperation and steady progress.
Unfavourable through depletion: effort and resources flow outward from the questioner toward the matter. This is the draining relationship.
Unfavourable (inauspicious): under constraint. The matter’s phase restrains the body’s phase, indicating pressure or obstruction in this initial judgment.
These are the general human-affairs body/use rules in Mei Hua Yi Shu, volume two. A full traditional reading also considers change and context. The opening judgment describes the current relationship; the I Ching’s hexagram and changing line help explain its stages and development.
Mei Hua Yi Shu, or Plum Blossom divination, uses trigram numbers, body/use and Five Element relationships to examine a situation. The I Ching, the Book of Changes, supplies the hexagrams and classical texts. On YiPhase, begin with a free Mei Hua reading, then continue into the same cast’s I Ching deep reading without casting again.
Ask about a situation and your part in it: “What should I consider before accepting this project?” or “How can I understand the tension in this collaboration?” One clear question is easier to study than several unrelated requests for a yes-or-no answer.
Both the initial reading and the full twelve-section deep preview are free during this feedback phase. No account or payment is required. Your question and original cast remain in this browser tab; use Clear to remove them.
Yes. Our free future telling experience begins with a Mei Hua body/use judgment, followed by an I Ching deep reading of the same cast. Explore what the present pattern suggests about what comes next, using the hexagram and changing line. Both stages are free, with no account or payment needed.
