55 · Abundance (FĒNG)
Abundance is a high point, not a permanent possession. The judgment calls for the reach of noon light; the Tuan immediately warns that the sun declines after noon and a full moon wanes. Partners, obscuring canopies, injury, renewed trust, welcomed talent, and an empty grand house trace the real question: can a flourishing situation stay clear, fair, and connected?
The judgment
Abundance: passage. A king reaches it. Do not worry; it is fitting to be like the sun at noon.
Classical commentary reads jia as 'to arrive at.' Noon light reaches widely: at a high point, clarity and resources ought to reach others. 'Do not worry' calls for responsible action now, not denial that conditions will change.

- 初九 · Line 1 — Meet one's matching partner; even when evenly matched, no blame. Going forward wins esteem.

- 六二 · Line 2 — The screen grows thick; at noon one sees the Dipper. Going forward brings suspicion. Sincerity can open it; auspicious.

- 九三 · Line 3 — The curtain grows thick; at noon one sees dim stars. The right arm is broken: no blame.
