32 · Duration (HÉNG)
Duration is a direction sustained through change, not the mechanical repetition of one act. Thunder and wind work together: movement needs responsiveness if it is to last.
The judgment
Duration: passage, no blame. Steadfastness is favourable; it is favourable to have somewhere to go.
A lasting path still moves. Commitment to what is right gives each next step continuity and makes further progress possible.

- 初六 · Line 1 — Seeking duration at great depth from the start: persistence is ominous; nothing is favourable.
